Current Research & Fieldwork

Working with my colleague Florian Justwan at the University of Idaho, my primary research project centers around public opinion towards foreign policy in India.  The goal for these surveys is to study individual-level attitudes toward conflict management and border disputes.

The project has two parts:

  1.  Completed in Summer 2016:  A pilot study using Amazon’s Mechanical Turk.  The results from our experiment will be presented at the 2016 American Political Science Association annual conference.
  2. Ongoing: Building off of fieldwork in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune from summer 2016, the second part of the survey will determine if and how individual traits, such as trust or tolerance, align with attitudes towards current border disputes between India and China.
