Belize Survey Information

With colleagues from the University of Idaho and the University of Georgia, I am working on a project on Belize.

The coauthors on this project at the University of Idaho are Florian Justwan (Assistant Professor of Politics), Ashley Kerr (Assistant Professor of Spanish and Latin American Studies), and Graham Hubbs (Associate Professor of Philosophy).  Jeffrey Berejikian (Associate Professor of International Affairs) at the University of Georgia is also a coauthor.

On April 10th, 2019, Belize will hold a national referendum to decide whether the country should take the territorial claim by Guatemala to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for a final, legal resolution.  We are interested in individuals’ attitudes towards global governance and territorial disputes, within the context of the national referendum on the ICJ.  The data will be collected in a national telephone survey conducted in Belize by PollBelize.Org from April 3 to 6, 2019.

If you have a question or concerns, please contact Sarah Fisher at sfisher@ehc.edu or Florian Justwan at fjustwan@uidaho.edu.  This project has IRB approval from both the University of Idaho and Emory & Henry College.
